Meet your tutor

Sophie, founder of SOTA Tutoring

Hi, I'm Sophie.

I graduated from UBC in the top 10% of my class with a Bachelor of Kinesiology, and I have been privately tutoring students for over six years. I also work as a Research Assistant at BC Children's Hospital, studying how children with neurodevelopmental conditions learn and thrive, and I bring that evidence-based thinking into every tutoring session I run.

I started by working with children with learning disabilities, ADHD and ASD, which taught me that every child learns differently and that the right approach makes all the difference. That belief is the foundation SOTA Tutoring is built on. I work alongside a carefully selected team of university students who share the same standard and I stay personally involved with every family we work with.
